Abstract

Pada tahun 2019, prevalensi asma dunia diperkirakan mencapai 262 juta dengan angka kematian mencapai 461 ribu jiwa. Anak dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki sebagai salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan asma. Kondisi asma dapat dikontrol agar tidak terjadi kekambuhan (eksaserbasi) dan perburukan. Luaran klinis terapi inhalasi dipengaruhi oleh ketepatan saat menggunakan terapi dan jenis terapi inhalasi. Penelitian merupakan narrative literatur review. Pencarian artikel melalui Pubmed, Google Schoolar, dan Research Gate. Kriteria inklusi yaitu jurnal berbahasa Inggris maupun Indonesia, penerbitan 10 tahun terakhir (2013-2023), original artikel dan free download. Jurnal diidentifikasi untuk memastikan relevansi jurnal terhadap topik dari penelitian ini. Diperoleh 8 jurnal terkait ketepatan penggunaan perangkat terapi inhalasi dan 9 jurnal terkait perbedaan perangkat inhalasi dan pengaruh terhadap luaran klinis. Hasil kajian literatur menunjukkan masih banyak ketidaktepatan dalam penggunaan terapi inhalasi. Pemilihan perangkat inhalasi harus mempertimbangkan kemampuan anak atau caregiver dalam menggunakan perangkat inhalasi. Perlu dilakukan edukasi untuk pasien, dikarenakan ketepatan penggunaan perangkat inhalasi merupakan faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi luaran klinis pada pasien asma anak.
