Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) dalam pemenuhan hak perempuan dan anak perempuan di Afghanistan dimulai sejak pengambilalihan Afghanistan oleh Taliban di bulan Agustus 2021. Taliban telah menerapkan serangkaian kebijakan yang membatasi pergerakan perempuan dan anak perempuan Afghanistan. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan kerangka pemikiran Teori Peran Organisasi Internasional, penelitian menunjukan bahwa UN Women sebagai sebuah organisasi internasional yang memiliki peran sebagai instrumen, arena atau forum, dan aktor dalam sistem internasional melalui program dan kebijakannya telah berperan aktif dalam pemenuhan hak perempuan dan anak perempuan Afghanistan 2021-2022.
