Faktor-faktor yang Mendorong Amerika Serikat Melancarkan Serangan terhadap Houthi di Yaman 2023-2024

Kelompok Houthi yang didukung Iran telah menyerang kapal-kapal di Laut Merah sebagai upaya untuk memaksa Israel menghentikan perang dengan militan Hamas di Gaza. Serangan ini telah mengganggu pelayaran global di wilayah tersebut. Pada awal Januari, Amerika Serikat dan Inggris membalas serangan Houthi dengan melancarkan serangan udara terhadap sejumlah basis Houthi di Yaman dengan tujuan mencegah mereka melakukan serangan lagi terhadap kapal-kapal kargo yang melintasi laut merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kebijakan luar negeri Amerika Serikat dalam serangan terhadap Houthi di Yaman. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelusuran literatur dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal, artikel berita, dan dokumen lain yang relevan dan dapat dijadikan landasan untuk memberikan penjelasan secara detail mengenai topik penelitian. Penulis menggunakan teori decision making oleh William D. Coplin.
