ANALISA PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN TITANIUM (Ti) TERHADAP STRUKTUR MIKRO DAN KEKERASAN PADA PRODUKSI SEPATU KAMPAS REM DAUR ULANG BERBAHAN ALUMINIUM (Aâ„“) SILIKON (Si) DENGAN METODE PENGECORAN SQUEEZE

Pengecoran squeeze adalah pengecoran yang dilakukan dengan memberikan pengaruh tekanan kedalam rongga cetakan pada saat pembekuan logam cair. Salah satu bahan yang sering digunakan dalam proses pengecoran adalah material aluminium (Aâ„“). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh penambahan unsur titanium (Ti) terhadap struktur mikro dan kekerasan hasil pengecoran squeeze (squeeze casting) pada aluminium (Aâ„“) daur ulang sepatu kampas rem. Paduan tanpa penambahan unsur titanium (Ti), paduan dengan penambahan Ti 0,02%, 0,05% dan 0,07% dilebur pada tungku peleburan dan dituang dengan temperatur 700°C, pada cetakan yang telah dipanaskan pada temperatur 300â°C serta diberi tekanan hidrolis sebesar 194 MPa. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan unsur Ti 0,07% memiliki porositas paling sedikit, yaitu 3,678%, harga SDAS yang paling halus, yaitu 7,30µm dan memiliki harga kekerasan paling tinggi, yaitu 51,93 HRB. Pengecoran squeeze dan penambahan unsur Ti mampu mengurangi cacat porositas, menghaluskan SDAS, serta meningkatkan kekerasan.
