TINJAUAN ALTERNATIF PENGELOLAAN LEACHATE

Leachate merupakan hasil samping dari proses dekomposisi sampah organik yang mengandung padatan, mikroba dan zat pencemar lainnya. Adanya mikroba dan kandungan zat pencemar pada leachate dapat mencemari perairan dan membahayakan kesehatan masyarakat. Untuk mengurangi bahaya yang ditimbulkan maka perlu dilakukan pengelolaan leachate. Tahapan pengelolaan pada umumnya meliputi penampungan, pengolahan dan pembuangan akhir leachate. Untuk mengurangi beban pengolahan, sebagian leachate dari inlet pengolahan dapat langsung dimanfaatkan baik untuk mengoptimalkan proses terbentuknya biogas maupun untuk mereduksi ion Cr3+. Sementara lumpur kering hasil pengolahan leachate dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menambah daya tahan permukaan tanah terhadap erosi. Key words: dekomposisi, leachate,Downloads
