Abstract

Penggunaan pelumas pada alat  pengujian  tribometer  Pin-on-Disc  sangat berpengaruh sekali pada spesimen uji. variasi kondisi pelumas yang di gunakan adalah pelumas SAE 140, SAE 40 dan pengujian tanpa pelumas dengan satu jenis material uji baja St 60. Alat yang  digunakan pada  penelitian ini  adalah alat  tribometer Pin-on-Disc  yang  dirancang  dengan desain  yang simpel. Hasil penelitian  ini  menunjukkan bahwa pada pengujian material yang menggunakan pelumas  SAE  140  dengan  SAE  40  terlihat  hasil perbedaan  yang  sangat  kecil  yaitu  0.00131 m3/N.m  dan 0.00121  m3/N.m, sedangkan  pada  pengujian  tanpa  pelumas menunjukkan penurunan berat material yang sangat besar yaitu 0.0304 m3/N.m.
