ANALISA PENGARUH VARIASI TEMPERATUR TUANG PADA PENGECORAN SQUEEZE TERHADAP STRUKTUR MIKRO DAN KEKERASAN PRODUK SEPATU KAMPAS REM DENGAN BAHAN ALUMINIUM (Al) SILIKON (Si) DAUR ULANG

Pegecoran squeeze adalah pengecoran dengan pengaruh tekanan pada saat pembekuan logam cair dan merupakan pengabungan antara proses pengecoran dan penempaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh temperatur tuang terhadap struktur mikro dan kekerasan hasil pengecoran squeeze (squeeze casting) pada aluminium daur ulang sepatu kampas rem yang beredar di pasaran. Paduan dilebur pada tungku peleburan kemudian pada temperatur 600, 700, dan 800°C dituang ke dalam cetakan. Cetakan dikondisikan   pada temperatur 300°C dan spesimen ditekan pada tekanan squeeze 66,58 MPa. Sebagai pembanding dilakukan pengecoran tuang tanpa tekanan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa pengecoran squeeze mampu mengurangi cacat porositas sebesar 30, 5%, struktur silikon semakin halus, meningkatkan dan meratakan distribusi kekerasan Brinell. Penambahan temperatur tuang tidak signifikan terhadap kenaikan nilai kekerasan.
