HUBUNGAN JENIS BAHAN BAKAR DENGAN KONSUMSI BAHAN BAKAR SEPEDA MOTOR BERTRANSMISI CVT, SEMI-OTOMATIK DAN MANUAL

Konsumsi bahan bakar pada kendaraan bermotor banyak dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satu diantaranya jenis bahan bakar yang digunakan. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh angka oktan yang terkandung pada bahan bakar terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar sepedamotor dengan transmisi berbeda. Bahan bakar yang digunakan pada motor uji adalah produksi Pertamina yaitu Premium (RON 88), Pertama (RON 92), dan Pertamax Plus (RON 95). Sedangkan kendaraan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Honda Beat (110 cc) bertransmisi continuous variable transmision (CVT), Yamaha Vega-R (110 cc) bertransmisi semi-automatic dan Suzuki Satria-Fu bertransmisi manual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahan bakar PertamaxPlus dengan RON paling tinggi paling efisien dibandingkan dengan jenis bahan bakar lain yang memiliki RON lebih rendah.
