Jurnal Progress: Wahana Kreativitas dan Intelektualitas — if translated into English: Progress Journal: A Medium for Creativity and Intellectuality — published by the Center for the Study and Development of Islamic Sciences or called “Pusat Kajian dan Pengembangan Ilmu-ilmu Keislaman” (PKPI2) of Islamic Faculty, Wahid Hasyim University Semarang as a medium for the development of Islamic education sciences, include: teacher training and contemporary thoughts on Islamic education, also moderate and multicultural Islamic education.
Jurnal Progress: Wahana Kreativitas dan Intelektualitas published at first Vol. 1, No. 1, 2013 biannually in october. However, since Vol. 6 No. 1, 2018, the journal’s publication schedule changed biannually in June and December.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

General requirements
Manuscripts can be either research-based paper or conceptual paper on gender and child topics that have been formatted to meet the general writing standards of a scientific journal article.
Manuscripts is preferably written in Bahasa Indonesia, English or Arabic language.
A manuscript is an original work (not plagiarized) and has not been published in other journal or media, printed or electronic.
The manuscript needs to be submitted online to Progress website through the Open Journal System (OJS) at https://publikasiilmiah.unwahas.ac.id/index.php/PROGRES/index
Applying a “blind review†system, the manuscript should not state the author’s name, institution, and emails. Authors’ name, institution, and emails are stated during the author’s registration with OJS. For a convenient communication, it is advisable to include your active cell phone number when registering.
The manuscript must be typed in a Microsoft Word, with 3000-6000 words in length. Click here for the template.
Reference or bibliography should list 20 references minimum. The primary reference is at least 5. The manuscript should also refer to several research studies published in reputable journals (journal article reference).
Specific requirements
Article theme. Progress articles bring up issues from the development of Islamic education sciences, teacher training and contemporary thoughts on Islamic education, also moderate, inclusive and multicultural Islamic education.
Organization of the research-based articles or conceptual paper consists of:
Title: This should be a brief formulation of the content and be compact and clear – it may be creative to attract readers. It should be a maximum of 15 words in bold format, with the first word of the sentence capitalized.
Abstract: contains analytical gap reasoning, research objectives, methods or approaches, and research results in 100-250 words
Keywords:Â Keywords contain 3-5 keywords.
Introduction: The introduction must contain: a) Background contains a description or overview of phenomena regarding the topic of a study carried out b) Exposure to the findings of several similar studies (three or more previous research studies) c) Exposure to the gap analysis of several similar studies mentioned in the previous paragraph. d) The novelty of the research. e) The aim or objectives of the research. f) The research questions or hypothesis.
Method: The method should contain the reasons for the research, the research approach, the research design, the process of determining data sources (informants, etc.), how to collect data, and the theory used in analyzing the data.
Results and Discussion: This section consists of several subheadings according to the topics discussed in the research objectives. Research results can be accompanied by tables, graphs (images), and/or charts. The discussion section explains the results of data processing, interprets findings logically, links them to relevant reference sources. Try to present it as concisely and comprehensively as possible.
Conclusion:Â The conclusion is not a summary of the research but explains the implications of the findings, research weaknesses, and contributions of current research, as well as recommendations for further research.
Acknowledgment: (if any). This short text acknowledges the contributions of specific colleagues, institutions, or agencies that aided the authors' efforts.
References: Citation and bibliographical style use APA (American Psychological Association) Style. A DOI for each reference must be provided if available. Although authors are not obliged to, they are suggested to use reference manager programs such as Mendeley.
Manuscript writing
The title must be typed in all capital letters, bold, centered. The subtitle is all typed in small case letter. Each word starts with the capital letter, bold.
Quotation
Direct quotation, which is equal to or less than 40 words, is indented with a double apostrophe (“…â€), single-spaced. Direct quotation of more than 40 words is typed indented on both right and left side, single-spaced.
The indirect quotation is typed in a sentence with no quotation symbols.
In all of these quotation types, direct and indirect, the name of the author(s), publication year and page(s) number must be provided.
Table
Table or graph should be presentable in a Microsoft Word document. Table or graph must be accompanied with a specific caption (numbering, title, source, if any). See the template for illustration.Â
Table or graph should only be displayed when it really helps readers to understand the content substance.
Referencing system
The References Use APA (American Psychological Association)Â Style. Please ensure that all information in your manuscript is taken from other sources, supported by citation references in the text. A minimum of 20 sources is required for each shipment. Please also note that your reference must follow the "APA" style. (The publisher will return your post (manuscript) to be corrected if you do not format your references correctly.
