Abstract
This study examines energy problems and the world oil crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic virus, especially in 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic has spread throughout the world which has disrupted the industrial sector. In particular, the mobility of the world's oil export-import process has been disrupted, and the largest oil exporter OPEC has decided to reduce production for an emergency. With the situation that occurred at that time, reducing production processes was an option during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially for oil producers from OPEC countries in 2020. This study uses descriptive analysis taken from supporting data related to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on world oil production in 2020. The results of the study found several causes of the decline and cuts in world oil production by OPEC countries, namely the abundance of goods, the conflict between OPEC member countries, the occurrence of rivalry from non-OPEC organizations, as well as the lockdown or mobility policy, and the decline in the number of industrial production activities. by countries with high Covid-19 cases. Abstrak
Artikel ini mengkaji permasalahan energi dan krisis minyak dunia yang diakibatkan oleh virus pandemi Covid-19, khususnya pada tahun 2020. Pandemi Covid-19 yang telah menyebar ke seluruh dunia telah mengganggu sektor industri. Secara khusus, mobilitas proses ekspor-impor minyak dunia telah terganggu, dan pengekspor minyak terbesar OPEC telah memutuskan untuk mengurangi produksi untuk keadaan darurat. Dengan situasi yang terjadi saat itu, pengurangan proses produksi menjadi pilihan di masa pandemi Covid-19, terutama bagi produsen minyak dari negara-negara OPEC pada 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif yang diambil dari data pendukung terkait dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap produksi minyak dunia tahun 2020. Hasil penelitian menemukan beberapa penyebab penurunan dan pengurangan produksi minyak dunia oleh negara-negara OPEC yaitu melimpahnya barang, konflik antar negara anggota OPEC, terjadinya rivalitas dari organisasi non-OPEC, serta kebijakan lockdown atau mobilitas, dan penurunan jumlah kegiatan produksi industri. oleh negaranegara dengan kasus Covid-19 yang tinggi. Ada juga faktor internal dan faktor eksternal yang sangat didorong oleh penurunan dan akhirnya pengurangan produksi minyak OPEC.
